An exhibition of photographs auctioned for the 8th annual ‘Šance pro děti’ (Chance for Kids) charity project – the Reuters internet auction to help kids in need – will be taking place in the multi-genre Czech Photo Centre.
This is the eighth year Reuters, the renowned news agency, has organised the Šance pro děti charity project, with substantial assistance from partner organisations. The core of the project is the internet auction of large-format photographs taken by Reuters and partners’ photographers over recent years.
This year we can once more look forward to pictures taken by Reuters photographers, and also the leading Czech photographer Milan Blšťák, who specialises in macro photography portraying the beauty of nature.
The successful bidders will receive a large format and professionally printed photograph in an elegant aluminium frame with a certificate of originality.
The Czech Photo Centre has begun collaboration with Reuters just this year. During the auction, the auctioned pictures will be exhibited in the Czech Photo Centre gallery, and thus accessible to the general public.
The auction will be launched at www.sanceprodeti.cz on Wednesday 17 May and ends on International Children’s Day on 1 June.
