Visit the Czech Press Photo exhibition at the National Museum!

From 1 February 2023 you can visit the exhibition of the 28th year of the prestigious Czech Press Photo journalism competition in three halls of the National Museum.

An international jury of experts (consisting of: the chairman of the jury - the editor-in-chief of the CTK photo agency Petr Mlch, Evgeniy Maloletka and Mstyslav Chernov, Ukrainian photographers working for the AP, Czech photographer and documentary filmmaker Dana Kyndrová, EPA reportage photographer Filip Singer, Hungarian Press Photo representative Tamás Szigeti and Panos Pictures director Adrian Evans from the UK) awarded the pictures in eight categories.

The exhibition presents award-winning images and other selected photographs that characterize the past dramatic year. Along with the images of Czech and Slovak photojournalists, the emerging young generation that competed in the Czech Photo Junior. The exhibition collection also includes Petr Vrabec's Prague on the Edge, which was created on the basis of last year's grant from the Mayor of Prague, as well as a selection from the exhibition The Siege of Mariupol - The Last Journalists in the Occupied City by Ukrainian phorographers Evgeniy Maloletka and Mstyslav Chernov.

In total, you can see more than 450 printed photographs and 350 images in screens and projections by 120 artists.

The exhibition will be on display until 31 July.

There will be an accompanying programme with the biggest event on 25 March - the Day with Czech Press Photo.
